Creative Circles is an amazing group which focuses on helping children with Special Educatory Needs through art. The company was set up and is run By Hale Owen who started the company after her second child was diagnosed with having Special Educatory Needs.

We spoke to her, as well as Helen Simpson, Jonathan Weller and Cheryl Funnell who are a few of the core volunteers about creative circles.

On Thursday I went down to see Ian Joseph, a research associate and associate director for criminology at the University of East London.

We spoke about his research projects over the past few years that have concentrated on youth culture and it’s links with crime and criminal activity.

With so much being written in the news about the current problems with youth culture and after some of the worse riots ever seen in London last year, I asked Ian about his take on the situation and the various ways that the problem has grown over the past few years.

As an academic Ian was able to bring examples from his own work and his previous experience of being a mentor to highlight what he believes is a real problem.

You’ll also hear MJ’s Man in the Mirror as we can all help to make a difference.

This show took the opportunity to look in to Crime and how it affects Business in and around South London. As well as giving insight on how the Commissioner has set his sights on helping businesses deal with crime over the coming years.

The show includes a chat with Regan Hook from Crime Stoppers, as well as Superintendent Rob Atkin.

From 8th January to 31st March 2012 ZoneOneRadio - the community radio station for Central London - ran a City of Westminster pilot project, which was funded by Team London and the Reuben Foundation.

A team of over fifteen volunteers met Barbara Windsor, Boris Johnson, Jamal Edwards, Michael Palin, Lord Coe and the BBC's Formula 1 Team, made some great radio and generated over 38,000 page views on www.ZoneOneRadio.com and www.facebook.com/ZoneOneRadio

Last week ZoneOneRadio's Matthew Layton was very privileged to be invited down to Autosport Towers to help them record a pilot for their podcast relaunch.

"I can't tell you how brilliant it was to watch Henry Hope-Frost, Edd Straw, Glenn Freeman and Andy van de Burgt sitting round a picnic table in a pub garden being knowledgeable and funny.

"Sam Tremayne was in Mugello, reporting from the first Formula 1 mid-season test since 2008.

"(The quality of that part of the recording may give you an idea why Autosport weren't rushing to release the pilot)"

They also spoke to Lisa Cunningham, who talks about why she got involved with Food Cycle and how local people in East London benefit from projects like this.
